501(c)(3) nonprofitA public charity with an IRS determination letter. Donors get tax-deductible receipts. Other nonprofit or booster clubTax-exempt but not a 501(c)(3), like a 501(c)(4) or (c)(7), or a booster club with its own EIN. School, PTO or PTAIf your PTO or PTA is a 501(c)(3), choose that instead so donors get tax receipts. LLCA for-profit club organized as an LLC. Gifts are not tax-deductible.
